As we all do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19, we are spending more time than ever indoors. Binge watching all of Netflix’s catalog in a few days might sound exciting, but we put together a few other activities you can do to take advantage of this time and entertain yourself when the TV doesn’t do it for you anymore.

1. Learning a new skill
Due to the high volume of people staying home, some businesses have given discount codes or free access to their courses. Do you have a skill you’ve always wanted to learn but never had the time? Now is your chance! There are a lot of free resources online, on Youtube and blogs as well.

Take some time to learn how to play a few songs on that guitar in your living room or learn how to quilt your old high school t-shirts. Take the time to become certified in Google Adwords, Google Analytics or Facebook Ads to add a boost to your resume. Now is the time! Here are 3 courses we are loving:

2. Teach yourself a dance
TikTok has been all over social media lately and the biggest thing it’s known for is dancing. Learn a new dance that is trending on the platform with your family or learn a few moves you have always wanted to. Influencer Steph Shep spent her time the past few days learning Jennifer Lopez’s Superbowl dance. Here is a video that teaches you a few TikTok dances step by step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FySQK4FOaVQ

3. Arts & Crafts
If dancing isn’t your jam, try following some DIY tutorials and get artsy! Make your own adult coloring book, paint free hand or make yourself some new useful tools around the home. Here is a video on DIY Arts Projects you might enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o322PFBTvQI

Hopefully these activities will help you stave off boredom and help you learn something new in the meantime. We hope you stay happy and healthy! Thank you for being considerate toward others. We can’t wait to see you back at River Rock Casino once we are open again.
